From Cumberland
, Garrett County , Farmington and Points East:
- Drive
on Interstate 68 West from Cumberland, Maryland toward Morgantown, West Virginia;
- Exit
route 68 West at Keiser's Ridge, Maryland (routes 40/119S exit);
- At
the top of the ramp, make
a right then a left hand turn onto Route 40 West toward Uniontown (32 miles);
- Drive
on route 40 West;
- You will pass the
following landmarks along route 40 West:
- Pennsylvania State Line at Pig's Ear road;
- Cross over the Youghiogheny Resivoir at Addison PA;
- Menellan Elementary School (right)
- Nemacolin Woodlands Resort (right)
- Pass through Farmington PA;
- Fort Necessity National Battle Field (left);
- General Braddock's Grave (right)
- Summit Mountain and the Summit Inn (left)
- Continue
on Route 40 West, which becomes the Uniontown bypass in Hopwood, Pennsylvania;
- As
you travel on the Uniontown bypass, entrance ramps from routes 43N and 119N
will merge into the bypass toward Connellsville PA;
- Continue on the Route 119N until
the Gallatin Avenue Exit (after the routes 21, 40 and 51 exits);
- Exit route bypass/119
N at the Gallatin Ave Exit;
- At the top of the
exit ramp, make a right hand turn onto Bute Road. (follow signs toward Laurel
Highlands High School);
- Bute road will end
in a "T" with Gallatin Avenue. Make a right hand turn and continue
down the hill;
- After crossing the
railroad tracks you will see the Sensus Manufacturing Plant on the left;
- Continue driving
on Gallatin Avenue by bearing to the right at the stop sign;
- You will come to
a stop sign just beyond The Family Dollar store; this is Kerr Street;
- Make the right hand
turn down Kerr Street. The School is at the bottom of the hill on the right
hand side.
